Business Objects Chooses Computer Intelligence for Section 508/WAI Compliance Efforts
As a leading provider of business intelligence software to the U.S. Federal Government, Business Objects services the Army, Navy, Air Force, U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Heath and Human Services, and the U.S. Department of Treasury. In April 2001, the Federal Acquisition Regulation Council, which sets procurement policy, issued a rule that made Section 508 standards part of the government purchasing process. Since June 25, 2001, all federal agencies have been required to buy only the most accessible products on the market unless doing so would be an undue burden on the agency. When Business Objects learned of these requirements, the company knew it was in trouble. Every website and document offered online by Business Objects would have to be Section 501-compliant. The company turned to Computer Intelligence Associates. As Elizabeth Gorkic, Section 508 and WAI Program Manager for Business Objects says, "For over four years, Business Objects has relied on Computer Intelligence to guide us through the complex world of accessibility testing and compliance. Computer Intelligence's certifications have allowed us to meet the requirements of even our toughest government buyers." If your business needs to meet Federal Section 508 requirements, contact Computer Intelligence at 410-953-0100 or sales@section508corp.com.
